The Digitalus cms provides a straightforward API and methodology for building custom modules. 

What you should know

To get the most out of developing with Digitalus cms you should understand:

• The MVC pattern
• The Zend Framework
• Object oriented PHP5 programming

Once you have a handle on the underlying technology you will find that the Digitalus cms uses the same conventions as the Zend Framework, so the skills you learn working with one will be usefull with the other.

Sharing your work

We have found that sharing our work has been an amazingly rewarding experience.  You can join in on the fun too.  Once you have a custom module you are proud of you can submit it to our team to review and potentially add to the module exchange. You will get full credit for your work if we publish it.

We do have a few requirements for every module:

• you must have a live example that we can review
• you must follow the Digitalus CMS convention
• any source code you submit to Digitalus cms will be covered under our license
• any kind of funny business like submitting malware will result in you being banished for life
